Surf's Up

I still haven't quite mastered the art of remembering to take pictures. When I was a teenager I did it all the time! These days though, I'm more reluctant to pull myself out of the moment and document it. Maybe that's good, who knows.

This past week was a full one, as my family visited from Ontario! They had all been out before, but separately, so this was the first time all us McKnights were together in the west. We had a few days here in the city and then made a trek out to the farthest reaches (well, farthest west) of the island - Tofino.
It was glorious. The first night there we had hurricane force winds and the power went out. People who worked there said they hadn't had waves so big in years. We had a chalet at the Long Beach hotel with a hot tub, and Minnie finally figured out how to walk on a leash (and ran her cute little bum all over the beach).
All in all, it was a fantastic trip.
