There's more to life than money, ya know. Don't cha know that?

This past weekend I decided to just veg out and do some movie-watchin'. I kept to a theme and watched all the Coen bros movies that Netflix had to offer.
I started with Raising Arizona, which I think I had seen bits of, but that would have been ages ago. It was great! And pretty much the only role I've ever seen Nicolas Cage in that made me genuinely like him.

From there I went to the other two movies, which I had never heard of.

Miller's Crossing (1990)

Barton Fink (1991)

I watched both on the tv, so I couldn't do my own stills. The quality of these leave something to be desired

Both were definitely enjoyable movies. Odd, and probably something I wouldn't have liked at all a few years back. But I could certainly appreciate them. The dialogue in the Coens' movies is just amazing. And the sets! Whether it's a lavish hotel lobby or grimy little room, it's always perfect.

Then tonight while looking for something to watch, Fargo was on tv.
I hadn't seen this poster for the movie before, isn't it just awesome?

  1. Right now on netflix they have Sleuth, with Laurence Olivier and Michael Cane. Watch it.

  2. Did you ever get to see Micmacs? It was amazing and makes you want to move to France.

  3. No! And I did just notice it on Netflix. Awesome.
Also, every one of that dude's movies make me want to move to France. Zut alors!

  4. Never seen neither of those movies, great choice on doing a theme night.
