Walking home from a friend's house after a night of wonderful company. Trees not quite blossoming yet, but they still look pretty under street light.

Meeting Alison on Main St for breakfast at the newly re-opened Slickity Jim's.
Saturday
Me realizing I woefully underestimated the amount of dirt needed for my no-dig garden. Back to Canadian Tire!
Sunday
Mason jar terrarium - and it's actually working! That teeny flower that's way above everything else? Totally not there when I made it. Instructions from here.
Monday
Dinner. Venison burgers, parsnip oven fries and kale chips. So, so good.
Tuesday
Slicing tomatoes for a vegetable dish that turned out horribly. Moosewood cookbook, I am not impressed.
Wednesday (yesterday)
Taking advantage of the brief break in the rain. Spring time!!!
Now, off to Granville Island, again, while it's not raining.
I have a few jars I've been meaning to turn into terrariums! Can't wait to see them start growing. I think spring is maybe my favourite season, even more than fall because I love to see all the blossoms on the trees blooming. Makes me feel excited for the nice weather to come. Nice photos!

ReplyDeleteYeah, the blog I linked to with the instructions used moss which is pretty much fail proof I'm guessing.
Spring in Vancouver is something I'm definitely going to miss when I leave...it's extra spring-y out here.
